Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer with MTSI, you will create prototypes for satellite communications and signal processing technologies located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Prototype programmer.Write software solutions for various satellite communication systems.Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment.Assist with maintaining software pipeline tools.

Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in JAVA, C/C++, scripting.Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Linux environment.Strong programming skills.Experience with software factory tools such as Gitlab, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, etc.Demonstrated ability to understand enterprise level systems.Comfortable configuring networks to include IP schemes and basic troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment and incorporate them into coherent test strategies.Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment.Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations.Ability to capture technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, algorithms, and implementations in written and graphical form.Desired Experience:Familiarity with RF signals and signal processing.Strong motivation to expand knowledge and skills.Ability to approach classical problems with new ideas and innovation.High degree of competence in C/C++, Java, Python, Bash.Understanding of basic wireless communication and software defined radio.Advanced network experience troubleshooting using Wireshark and switch/router configuration/maintenance.Education Requirement:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other Engineering / Science discipline.Masters degree in Computer Science or other Engineering / Science discipline, Desired.Six (6) years' of programming experience, Desired.Travel Requirements:This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time.Trip durations may range from overnight to several weeks.Clearance Requirements:Active Top Secret with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $75,000/year to $105,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
