State Street is looking for a Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience for the Alpha and Middle Office Technology Team, which is part of Global Technology Services. This is a hands-on Software Engineer role for a candidate with a proven record of Software Development and Testing experience preferably in financial applications. The candidate should have thorough insight and experience in SDLC processes including practice Agile development.

ONSITE: Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily

in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

Skills:

1-2 years of professional experience with strong proficiency in Java/Python/Object Oriented Programming, Spring Boot, REST API, Kafka, IBM MQ and SQL.

An understanding of using a 3rd-party platform and can understand connectivity to existing systems.

Must be comfortable using Agile methodology, Jira, MS Teams, and Outlook. Understands the value of the various Agile ceremonies: daily scrum/stand-up, story refinement, design, demo, retrospective.

Demonstrated experience Test case creation, execution, defect reporting and defect management.

An understanding of using a 3rd-party platform and can understand connectivity to existing systems.

Experience with, or willingness to learn, tools such as Cucumber, TestNG, IntelliJ and Eclipse.

Use coding standard for automation testing, documentation, release and configuration management and expertise in CI/CD.

Exposure/Experience in Appian or BPM tools is a plus.

Ability to work in an on-shore/off-shore model working with development teams across continents.

Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle.

Must be a team Player and ensure proactive communication with developers and project team members.

Document and interact with business and technology stake holders/team members as necessary.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical fields with 3 years of experience on full stack development.

Demonstrated expertise in JAVA, Spring framework and REST APIs
