As an entry level Full Stack Software Engineer at IGT, you will have an active role in the implementation of our products on a worldwide scale. This is a hybrid position located at our West Greenwich, RI office. Candidates should live within a commutable distance.

Responsibilities

A software engineer in the organization has the following responsibilities and duties:

Analyze the needs of the user, conduct requirements elicitation and engage on discussions with our business analysis teams to ask for clarifications or to set expectations right for them and our customer. Design, develop and test the software to meet those needs. Recommend upgrades for existing systems and programs. Develop separate elements and modules of a software that work well in the program as a whole. Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns. Participate in code review to make sure the quality achieved by any artifacts in the team is always the best it can be. Qualifications Proficient in the following programming languages and technologies: Front end: Javascript, CSS, HTML Backend: Java, Shell Scripting, Python Some experience is desirable in the following frameworks: Front end: AngularJS / Angular, ReactJS, Less/Sass Back end: Spring Boot, Rest (HTTP), Jetty Web server, Web Sockets. Automated unit testing in frontend and backend. Front end: Jasmine and Karma Back end: jUnit, Mockito, PowerMock Experience with source code control system such as SVN or GIT. Proficient using with well-known IDEs, such as Eclipse, IntelliJ or Visual Code. Well organized, good communication skills and a big desire to learn Finished or close to finish, a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar degree program

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,450 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
