Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Description

This software engineer will be developing and implementing software protocol stacks, including TCP/IP, LTP, Bundle Protocol, and Bundle Protocol extensions. The individual will also develop and implement convergence layers for CCSDS protocols, as well as network routing protocols and algorithms, such as contact graphs and time variant routing.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement software protocol stacks such as TCP/IP, LTP, Bundle Protocol and Bundle Protocol extensions.Develop and implement convergence layers for CCSDS protocols.Create network routing protocols and algorithms, including contact graphs and time variant routing.Participate in the development of the Space Networking R&D lab.Collaborate with external research groups and commercial partners.Essential SkillsProficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.Experience with RTOS and VxWorks.Strong understanding of TCP/IP and interworking protocols.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.5 years of experience in software development (C, C++, RUST, Python).Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.Experience with tools such as GitLab, Docker, Confluence, Jira, and SQL databases.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working on R&D teams and projects.Ability to collaborate with external research groups and commercial partners.Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in Houston, TX, requiring attendance 5 days a week. The company is involved in cutting-edge work, including the development of the Lunar network, which is breaking historical records and has never been done before.
