Primary job role

As a Software Engineer on the Healthcare team, you will help design, develop, and maintain the 

processes and tools that enable BI3 to rapidly innovate and better serve our customers, both 

internal and external. You will make a difference throughout the company by making others more 

efficient and providing new capabilities. You will help other developers design effective solutions 

and lend the benefits of your experience to new challenges. You will provide insight into application 

architecture and help evaluate 3rd party solutions for business needs. You will integrate, innovate, 

and have a good time while doing so.

Key responsibilities 

 Designing and implementing software solutions for assigned projects, both independently 

and with teammates.

 Writing unit and integration tests.

 Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting data and software issues.

 Documenting code and design, and reviewing code and design docs from others.

 Estimating tasks and providing status updates when needed

 Synthesizing requirements into cohesive designs while identifying gaps and contradictions.

 Identifying improvements in our current systems and processes.

 Collaborating with teammates and end users to deliver the right solution.

 Participating in design discussions and code reviews.

 Getting to know our systems and processes.

 Helping to mentor and guide more junior developers.

Required Competencies

 3 to 5 years professional experience writing code

 Experience developing in one or more of the following languages: .NET, JavaScript, Swift, 

Objective-C.

 Experience with object-oriented development
 Experience maintaining and deploying production systems

 Experience with relational databases

 Experience interacting with REST APIs

 Is comfortable taking ownership of deliverables as part of a team.

 Is comfortable working with non-technical staff.

 Is able to read, write, and speak English at a professional level of fluency.

Preferred Competencies

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

 Experience with software testing frameworks and methodologies

 Experience with data visualization

 Experience creating web applications

 Experience with Business Intelligence applications

 Experience with node.js

 Experience creating REST APIs

 Deep knowledge of databases and data manipulation/integration
