KBR, is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join us in supporting our great nation, specifically on the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) HOPE engineering team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a TS SCI SI/TK clearanceRequired Experience and Education: BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.Key Responsibilities:
Design, engineer, analyze, and develop software prototypes as part of a multi-disciplinary teamDevelop proof-of-concepts and prototypes of backend and backend for front-end componentsEngage with customers to better define the problem space and vision to determine capabilities and priorities for prototypesWork across multiple technology stacks, gaining hands-on experience with various languages, frameworks, and tools to support a broad range of applicationsWork with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Oracle, MySQL, and othersWork Environment:

Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, React, and JavaScript for front-end development and data visualizationExperience with Python, R, or JAVAExperience with Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes for containerization, cloud services, and orchestrationHands-on experience with Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, AWS S3, and developing RESTful APIs using Django and Flask frameworksStrong passion for conducting research, tackling complex problems, and continuously learning and adopting new technologiesProficient in using GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborationExperienced in implementing Agile Software Development methodologies for efficient and iterative project managementPassion for conducting research, tackling complex problems, and continuously learning and adopting new technologiesDesired:

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
