GDIT is seeking a Software Engineer to help support our National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Crash Investigation & Data Event Recovery (CIDER) program.
As a Software Engineer, you will work remotely for our to collaboratively maintain and enhance software used daily by investigators for data recovery and analysis. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle of a mission critical product including issue and requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and delivery. The right candidate will be working with our small team of development and QA personnel to provide maintenance and enhanced functionality for a mission-critical program, and will regularly work directly with system users during analysis and testing.
Work will be performed remotely.
Qualifications:
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.Experience with Java required.Experience with issue/problem tracking systems.Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.US Citizenship RequiredDesired Qualifications:
Experience with the Netbeans IDE.Experience with Git-based source control.
