Position overview
Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software. Typically works with senior staff but may coordinate smaller or less complex projects independently. Designs and implements basic technical solutions ensuring that business needs and requirements are met. Performs basic system integration tasks. Provides estimation for assigned tasks
Position Description
· Creates and maintains code and documentation.
· Evaluates feature/upgrade/change requests and recommend courses of action.
· Identifies performance issues and make improvements.
· Codes software applications adhering to designs supporting internal business requirements or external user.
· Provides mentorship and assistance to associate software engineers.
· Reviews code written by others and hold fellow engineers to code quality standards.
· Provides Tier 2 Production Support for tools and applications developed.

Position Requirements
Experience education:
· Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
· 2 years relevant established experience with moderate depth of knowledge.
o Software development roles require development using specific code and platforms as indicated in a job posting.
Languages
o Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
· Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)
o Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
o Self-motivated and independent learner
o Effective communication skills.
o Ability to handle multiple projects.
o Familiar with Agile development processes
