This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. Candidates should have 2+ years of job-related experience or hold a Master's degree. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred. You will be required to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance to perform the work, with a preference for those who have an interim or active secret clearance at the time of hire. Responsibilities + Research, design, develop, and test software and tools. + Develop new work products or enhance existing applications, systems, or embedded products. + Code, test, and document software solutions to advance our technology solutions. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. + 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. + Experience with Agile methodologies. + Strong understanding of software development processes and software engineering concepts, principles, and theories. + Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, and other relevant programming languages. + Experience with Kubernetes, Microservices, Ansible, Prometheus, and Grafana. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems. + Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success. + Experience with Spring Boot and Redhat is a plus. + Experience with Microservice development and Springboot is highly desirable. Work Environment The role is on-site in Fairfax until April, after which there may be some flexibility for remote work. We offer a 9/80 work schedule option if desired. Our headquarters location is very modern and updated, providing a comfortable and state-of-the-art working environment. You will also have the opportunity to work on innovative technologies and code, not just legacy systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
