**Description** SAIC is looking for a **Software Engineer** to support the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program at **Point Mugu, California** including support equipment and simulators. **Must have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.** + Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software. + Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. + End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. + Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. + Ensures software standards are met. **Qualifications** **Education and experience:** + Bachelor's and five years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. **Required skills:** + Must have C# and C++ experience. + Must have SQL database development experience. + Must have the ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers. + Must have the ability to work independently. **Required Clearance:** + Must have an active Secret security clearance. **Desired skills:** + Prefer EW, embedded systems and VxWorks experience but not mandatory. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
