Software Engineer
Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking an Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineer. Effort aims to provide hardware, software, and DevSecOps/integration processes to enhance the capabilities of both legacy and future aircraft through advanced battle network connectivity, enhanced mission computing, and real-time software update infrastructure. + This role primarily involves software engineering responsibilities, including design, implementation, integration, and verification support, as well as cybersecurity aspects related to vulnerability scanning and participation in DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Processes (DIACAP). + The position is primarily onsite in a secure facility, with some ad hoc flexibility for unclassified tasks, and requires a TS/SCI clearance on day one Responsibilities + Design, implement, integrate, and verify collaborating systems engineers' software. + Plan software development efforts, manage and track software personnel. + Conduct software and systems level analyses. + Participate in design reviews and manage software requirements. + Provide leadership and mentorship to junior software engineers. + Perform cybersecurity tasks, including vulnerability scanning and DIACAP participation. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and 8 years of experience. + Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. + Active TS/SCI clearance. + Experience in C++ programming. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work well in a professional team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with aerospace systems and software engineering processes. + Experience in managing software development plans and leading software engineering personnel. + Experience in cybersecurity and vulnerability scanning for software on the DoD and DAF Approved Product List. + Experience with DIACAP. + Experience in risk/opportunity management and obsolescence engineering. + Ability to think both tactically and strategically. + Excellent organizational skills for balancing priorities and schedules. + Experience working in highly collaborative environments and taking ownership of tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
