What You Will Do:
Collaborate closely with data and project management teams in gathering key insights, information, and limitations to create better user experiences with Red Hat products and assist in understanding what is doable given technical and resource limitations.Plan and produce key IT enterprise products and processes and understand and take action based on key data, including limitations, resourcing, capabilities, and performance requirements.Push for access and communication with Red Hat’s end users to understand their pain points and needs with Red Hat products and processes and interact with technical issues and reported bugs to improve Red Hat products and user experiences.Assist in understanding the technical capabilities of installing software systems and coordinating an install flow and system for software and ensure simple and understandable experiences for users that will need to install software systems.Assist in the planning, design, and monitoring of complex systems through utilizing data analysis and modeling and ensure systems are set up accurately to capture the right data at the right time.Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing usability with Red Hat products and processes, including setting up tests and either validating our understanding or uncovering key gaps and opportunities.Leverage data and testing to uncover errors and gaps in Red Hat products and processes and provide suggestions around technical and flow improvements for Red Hat products.What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Science, Media Studies, Interaction Design or related field and one (1) year of experience designing user experience for applications.Must have one (1) year of experience with: At least 1 high-fidelity prototyping tools, including creating complex interactive prototypes that closely mimic final product functionalities; collaborating with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders in an agile development environment to ensure design concepts are translated into functional products; Interaction design principles and patterns, including solving complex design challenges with innovative and intuitive solutions; Using, contributing to, and improving comprehensive design systems, including working within established design systems to create cohesive user interfaces that ensure consistency across a wide range of products and platforms.Must have one (1) year of software design experience including color, typography, and layout, enabling the creation of visually appealing and coherent user interfaces.Must have experience with: conducting, supporting, and analyzing user research, including usability studies, surveys, and interviews, to inform design decisions and improve user satisfaction; Accessibility standards and designing inclusive user interfaces that are usable by people with a wide range of abilities; Using data analytics to interpret user behavior, make evidence-based design decisions and guide KPI-oriented design improvements to the user experience; Working within Agile development teams, with a strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks; Using project management and collaboration tools to track progress, manage tasks, and collaborate effectively with team members across different functions; Identifying gaps in design systems and advocating for the evolution of these systems through the contribution of new components, patterns, and usage guidelines; Documenting design decisions and contributing to the design system repository, facilitating knowledge sharing and adoption among design and development teams; Engaging cross-functional teams in interactive sessions that foster creativity, ideation, and problem-solving; and using digital whiteboards and facilitation techniques to map user journeys, create wireframes, prioritize features, and develop project roadmaps collaboratively.#LI-DNI
The salary range for this position is $108,610 - 173,630. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
