Sumo Logic, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Redwood City, California.

Responsibilities:

Work with the engineering team to design and develop the user interface and middle tier for our enterprise machine data analytics management service. Work with the team to define and provide a powerful yet simple and intuitive user interface that will be one of the key differentiators of the service in the marketplace. Work with our talented visual designers to bring new application features to life. Contribute to and guide others in utilizing our design system, debugging, and addressing critical escalations, and monitoring and resolving alerts from our automated testing suites.  Build a rich user interface primarily for Sumo Logic's mission-critical high-availability analytics platform using React and TypeScript. Participate in user experience design, architecture initiatives, and regular code reviews with a significant focus on ease of use, visual appeal, re-usability, and performance. Collaborate with feature and component teams during design and development phases to ensure adherence to UI architectural standards and best practices. Contribute to writing Integration Tests and Unit Tests for Micro-frontend Architecture. Telecommuting is permitted.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT-related field and three (3) years of experience asa Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related role. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT-related field and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related role.

 

Work experience with: Creating and delivering enterprise grade applications using React;  JavaScript/ES6/Typescript and frontend frameworks such as React and Angular while creating frontend applications; Working with Agile development team while following scrum methodologies; Contributing to writing Integration Tests; and, Unit Tests for web applications using Webpack, Jest, Karma, Cypress.
