What You'll Do at Pega: Work as a part of a cross-functional team to build application performance assessment solutions using both in-house developed and third-party automation tools. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure they are enabled and have the right tools to evaluate performance during feature development. Evangelize the importance of performance amongst the Engineering organization. Maintain existing as well as design and implement new performance benchmarks. Drive the increase of performance benchmark coverage. Provide information about product performance and scalability as well as recommendations. Share the progress and present work results to product management and other stakeholders. Drive the performance improvements by making sure reported product defects are addressed. Get involved in customer performance incidents to help them achieve their SLAs. Learn and grow as a professional. Experiment, innovate and have fun. Who You Are:You
Have a passion for software development: Java is a must. Understand JVM internals. Understand key factors affecting software performance. Worked with automated performance testing tools and techniques: Gatling, JMeter Experienced in cloud technologies: Kubernetes, AWS, NewRelic. Have experience conducting performance or reliability analysis of complex systems. Have experience with debugging and profiling tools: Yourkit, JFRUse technology to solve business problems. Do not use technology for the sake of using technology. What You've Accomplished: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.Minimum 6 years of experience in designing and developing high-capacity, large-scale architectures with strict performance constraints.Good command of the English language.
