Industrial System Analytics (ISA) is a product group that develops cloud analytic solutions using GCP tools/Techniques. This Technical Anchor position is ideal for the technically oriented individual who has experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting cloud applications and is interested in working with a portfolio of strategic analytic solutions. 

In this role, you will collaborate with multiple organizations (Business Customers, Data Platform and Engineering - DP&E and Enterprise IT) to convert business goals into analytic solutions. This role will work in small, cross-functional teams and embrace lean and agile practices, software best practices, software quality scanning, automated testing, and CI/CD.

The minimum requirements we seek:

10+ years’ experience in Software Engineering. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a combination of education and equivalent experience. Willingness to collaborate daily with team members.

3+ year experience with developing for and deploying to GCP cloud platforms 

Experience in development in at least some from each following category: Data Engineering tools – Big Query, Terraform, Tekton, Data Flow, Data Proc, Astronomer/Air Flow etc. Languages: Java / JS / Python / Other Frontend frameworks: Angular Backend frameworks: Python/ SQL / Java Proven experience understanding, practicing, and advocating for software engineering disciplines from eXtreme Programming (XP), Clean Code, Software Craftmanship, and Lean including: Paired / Extreme programming Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD) Evolutionary design Minimum Viable Product FOSSA, SonarQube,42Crunch, etc.,

What you’ll be able to do:

The Technical Anchor will work on a Balanced Product Team and collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Designer, Business customers, and other Software Engineers & DPNE team to deliver analytic solutions. The Tech Anchor will be responsible for the development and ongoing support/maintenance of the analytic solutions.

Product And Requirements Management: Participate in and/or lead the development of requirements, features, user stories, use cases, and test cases. Participate in stand-up operations meetings. Author: Process and Design Documents and ensure the team is adhering to it by doing regular reviews Design/Develop/Test/Deploy: Work with the Business Customer, Architects, Product Designer, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Security Controls Champion on solution design, development, and deployment. Operations: Generate Metrics, Perform User Access Authorization, Perform Password Maintenance, and Build Deployment Pipelines. Incident, Problem, And Change/Service Requests: Participate and/or lead incident, problem, change and service request-related activities. Includes root cause analysis (RCA). Includes proactive problem management/defect prevention activities.
