Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Firmware Software Engineer to architect, design, and develop full stack software applications within the IoT domain. This high-level position is part of the IoT software development team and plays a key role in supporting the digital transformation of our business by creating IoT applications that deliver new insights to our diverse customer base.
ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders to document system requirements for backend stack components or IoT applications.Participate in new product development as part of a cross-functional team involving hardware, software, SME professionals, and external partners.Develop and test IoT systems involving IoT edge devices.Stay on the cutting edge of technology evolution by continually evaluating new tools, techniques, and processes.Essential SkillsEmbedded software developmentProficiency in Embedded C and C++Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)Microcontroller expertise, particularly with STM32CANBUS connectivity and protocol experienceFirmware development for commercial dish machinesExperience with NXB 1060 microcontroller and STM32 IDEsDesigning sensors using CANBUS communicationExperience with ESP32 WiFi modulesExperience in supporting Embedded Firmware Platform and Board Support Package developmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in one or more of the following areas: bootstrap loader, embedded file systems, system controls, Linux, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCPExperience with Agile development methodologiesInitiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projects5 or more years of experience in firmware developmentExperience with Bare Metal and Free RTOSWork Environment
This role is within the Engineering department. You will work with various boards and microcontrollers, ensuring proper integration of all components. The position involves aggressive deadlines, and you will need to be highly productive. The work environment does not use Linux, and it includes daily feedback from automated tests to ensure quality and integration.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
