Responsibilities + Work on the inception phase of projects, including collecting requirements, suggesting methodologies and technologies, and release planning. + Keep up with the latest trends in software development through active research. + Influence and strengthen the development culture of the team. + Inspire, mentor, and encourage developers to apply industry best practices. + Design, implement, and support mobile solutions and applications. Essential Skills + 2-7 years of web browser-based and backend development experience. + 2-7 years of JavaScript and/or JavaScript using React framework. + AWS Certified Solutions Architect/Associate certification. + Experience with developing mobile or web-based applications using CSS, HTML, XML/XSLT. + Backend Development experience with JavaScript/Python. + Object Oriented Methodologies including OOA, OOD, OOP, and Design Patterns. + Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Additional Skills & Qualifications + User Interface Design experience, including user-centered design, GUI & web page design, prototyping, and usability testing. + Experience working with cross-functional and globally dispersed teams. + Strong problem-solving skills. + Experience building highly reliable applications requiring minimal support and maintenance. + Experience with GraphQL. + Experience with TypeScript or other typed programming languages. + Knowledge of JavaScript ecosystem tools, such as webpack and npm. + Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. + Experience using build and deployment tools such as GitLab or AWS Build/Deploy/Amplify. Work Environment This role follows a hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 remote, with core hours from 8 am to 5 pm. The work environment is collaborative, involving engineering tasks in a team-oriented setting, and leverages a range of technologies for web and mobile development, excluding database or SQL work.
