ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
As a member of the software engineering team, the Software Engineer is needed to develop dedicated user interfaces and control systems for new products under development. Candidates should have a strong background in Windows desktop development (Winforms) using the .NET framework and familiarity with SQL database.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with scientists and product development team to develop protocol specific UI’s for newly developed products.
• Leverage BioDot’s existing/legacy control infrastructure (software UI’s, firmware, etc.) to quickly build UI’s for specific products and protocols.
• Work with the product development team (application scientists, sales, project managers, engineers) to clarify customer requirements and then implement them.
• Provide global support and debugging remotely on customer’s terminals.
• Document and track software deployment.
• Maintain and improve BioDot’s software development process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years professional experience in .NET programming (VB.NET, C#).
• Experience working with serial devices (RS-232, TCP/IP).
• Experience with multithreaded applications.
• Familiarity with SQL database and understanding of basic queries (SELECT, JOIN).
• Ability to work on complex tasks with minimal technical guidance.
• Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with manufacture automation systems
• Understanding of motion controller, actuator, I/O.
• Electronics/Electrical Engineering or other STEM background.
