Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop software in C++ that interacts with LabVIEW. You will be responsible for triaging defects, developing software unit tests, and reviewing the testing team's software verification protocols. You will analyze software for failure modes and develop solutions to mitigate risk. Additionally, you will participate in design reviews to improve software quality, ensure compliance with quality management system procedures, and collaborate on planning sprints and managing the team's backlog of tickets.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop software in C++ that interacts with LabVIEW.Triage defects, develop software unit tests, and review software verification protocols.Analyze software for failure modes and develop risk mitigation solutions.Improve software quality through design reviews and ensure compliance with quality management system procedures.Collaborate with the team on planning sprints and managing the team's backlog of tickets.Perform other project tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience developing software in C/C++, including object-oriented and functional programming.Strong understanding of computer science principles, including embedded systems, operating systems, and compilation.Good understanding of LabVIEW software development.Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience with cardiovascular products.Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and eagerness to acquire new knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with statistics and statistical tools.Experience with embedded software.3-4 years of experience writing test scripts in LabVIEW.Work Environment
You will work in a small company with a startup feel, consisting of 10-15 people. The workspace includes a manufacturing room, clean room, and quality department with office spaces. The role involves hands-on tasks but primarily entails working at a desk with a computer. You will report to the Director of Engineering. This position offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in medical device product development, quality and design standards, and interfacing with customers. Additionally, you will have the chance to contribute to project planning and budgeting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $68.00/hr.
