**Job Description Summary** Join our talented team of Software Engineers and become a key player in the development of innovative medical products for the Anesthesia and Respiratory Care business. As a Software Engineer specializing in embedded systems, you will design, implement, and test software for life-sustaining products that make a real difference. **Job Description** **Essential Responsibilities:** **_Technical Excellence_** + Develop real-time embedded and non-real-time software in C++. **_Solution Design_** + Collaborate with senior engineers and global team to craft solutions and integrate them into product software. **_Lifecycle Mastery_** + Navigate the entire software development lifecycle, from high-level and detailed design to software implementation, unit verification, and maintenance activities. **_Team Collaboration_** + Work seamlessly with a global project team using the Agile Scrum methodology. **Basic Qualifications:** **_Educational Foundation_** + Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related computer degree. **_Experience_** + 3 years of software development experience + 1 year of experience in object-oriented design, implementation, and testing of C++. + Experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Subversion, etc. **_Development Knowledge_** + Demonstrated strong software design abilities, including object-oriented design. + Knowledge of the software development life cycle or other engineering development environments. **_Onsite Commitment_** + Must be able to work onsite at the Madison, WI office. Day-to-day flexible arrangements are possible. **Desired Characteristics:** **_Embedded Systems Expertise_** + Experience developing and debugging software for real-time embedded systems. **_Technical Proficiency_** + Experience with Linux and/or real-time operating systems, unit testing frameworks, and multi-threaded, concurrent systems. + Knowledge of control systems **_Team Collaboration_** + Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams. + Worked in teams using Agile SW development methodology. **Additional Information** GE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
