Software Engineer Job ID 198399 Posted 19-Feb-2025 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Digital & Technology/Information Technology Location(s) Hyderabad - Telangana - India **About the Role:** Our growing team, the Agile Center of Excellence, needs a Test Engineer to create and maintain manual and automated tests for a Power BI, SQL Server, .NET suite of reports and applications supporting CBRE Digital and Technology product teams. We need a professional who is focused on high-value changes and adjustments that can improve our satisfaction rate and increase our overall effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a background in software testing strategies in a complex reporting environment. **What You’ll Do:** + Work with an Agile team to understand and test a suite of reports to collect insights for decision-making. + Test Power BI reports using various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, and DAX queries. + Test integrations between a data warehouse and various ALM systems such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira using a combination of REST API’s and direct queries. + Run SQL queries, stored procedures, and other objects to validate data integrity. + Document code and requirements in a simple and sufficient approach. + Investigate and resolve complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of experience. + 3-5 years writing and executing manual and automated test plans for a sophisticated data warehouse & relational database environment. + Experience testing complex Power BI reports and datasets + Experience testing MS SQL Server queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages + Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for ad hoc analysis and communication + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and analytical skills. + Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to Agile COE customers and stakeholders. + Ability to effectively present information.
