Job Description
This position will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining production, pre-production, and prototype software applications.
ResponsibilitiesAssist and respond to customers' and sales' technical project requirementsDetermine project feasibility, including the adaptability of core software to stated purposesPresent software design proposals and risk assessments to the sales teamWork closely with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and the customer throughout the design and testing phasesExercise independent judgment and draw conclusions based on available informationTroubleshoot logic issuesDevelop engineering specifications, manuals, and project timelinesWork with peers in multiple departments and vendors to advance proprietary technologies and conceptualize new software features and functionsWork closely with teams to plan, problem solve engineering obstacles, and manage projects from inception to market releaseDebug programsEssential SkillsC#.NetVisual StudioPLC programmingStructured text PLC programming & troubleshootingCoDeSys/Visual StudioReading I/Os ensuring they match up with schematicsTroubleshooting with customers remotely over the phoneBeckhoffStructured textAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, preferably computer science or software development, or equivalent experienceFive (5) years of experience in software development for automated machineryExperience with PLC programming structured text - CoDeSys or equivalent development environmentExperience with Visual StudioExperience with object-oriented programmingExperience in Git or Source HubAbility to read blueprints and schematicsKnowledgeable of software development concepts, process, and toolsKnowledgeable in hardware and softwareKnowledgeable in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) theory and part programming
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
