Description Software Engineer (PHP Laravel, JavaScript/Vue.js) – Contract-to-Hire Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC) Pay Rate: $50 per hour (Contract) → $100,000 annually (Conversion) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Position Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in PHP Laravel and JavaScript (preferably Vue.js) to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable web applications, integrating modern front-end technologies, and optimizing backend performance. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence as needed. Key Responsibilities: + Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP Laravel on the backend and Vue.js (or similar JavaScript frameworks) on the frontend. + Build and optimize APIs and database queries for high-performance applications. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions. + Maintain and enhance existing codebases, ensuring best practices for code quality, security, and performance. + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and responsiveness. + Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes in an Agile environment. + Work with DevOps and cloud services to support scalable deployments (experience with AWS preferred). Requirements Qualifications: + 3+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in PHP Laravel. + Experience developing dynamic front-end applications using JavaScript (Vue.js preferred, React or Angular acceptable). + Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and query optimization. + Experience with modern development tools such as Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. + Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and DevOps best practices is a plus. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. + Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to software development.
