Our Division:
Satellite navigation has progressed from GPS to the broader Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), encompassing GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC, and other emerging systems. Trimble's GNSS and Comms Engineering group develops high-precision GNSS receivers for diverse markets, including Geospatial/Survey, rugged Construction equipment, and integrator modules.
The Manufacturing Test Development Group creates and deploys the automated test software and systems used globally to validate these receivers throughout production at Trimble's contract manufacturing sites. These receivers offer precise positioning and various connectivity options (serial, USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UHF radio, and cellular). Rigorous testing ensures adherence to design specifications and delivery of quality products.
The Manufacturing Test Development Group plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Trimble's high-precision GNSS receivers. This team develops and integrates the test software and systems utilized globally to validate each receiver throughout multiple stages of production at Trimble's contract manufacturing sites.
Beyond providing precise positioning, these GNSS receivers offer a wide array of services through serial, USB, and Ethernet ports, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Furthermore, many products facilitate the transfer of positioning information via UHF radio and cellular networks. Comprehensive testing of all these systems is essential to guarantee that new product design specifications are met and that high-quality products are delivered to customers.
