YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

A software engineer delivers software components that form part of a product.  Individuals in this role will:

Develop software to meet user needsFollow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelinesWrite clean, secure, and well-tested codeCoach and mentor more junior colleaguesOperate the services they build and identify issues in production

 

Programming and Build

Collaborate with others when necessary to review user stories and code and develop implementation approachesUse the agreed implementation approaches to design, code, test, and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools

Systems Design

Translate logical designs into physical designsProduce detailed designsEffectively document all work using required standards, methods, and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriateDesign systems characterized by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity, and meaningful impactWork with well understood technology and identify appropriate patterns

Systems Integration

Build and test simple interfaces between systemsWork on more complex integration as part of a wider team

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related fieldFull stack software development experience - minimum 3 years,Proficiency in programming languages: JavaScript and TypeScript,Good knowledge of backend development with Node.js, Good knowledge of frontend development, JavaScript/TypeScript, preferred React and/or Angular, DevOps skills - Cloud (preferably AWS), IaC (preferably Terraform), CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum),Proficiency in software design and architectureExperience with version control systems like GitAbility to write clean, maintainable, and efficient codeFamiliarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio, IntelliJ Idea or EclipseKnowledge of software development tools and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)Understanding of database management and SQLExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databasesExperience with microservices architecture and RESTful API designExperience with automated testing frameworks and toolsKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:
