U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - API in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer - API will join the ICS API Journey. Working with a team of engineers and scrum masters, the Software Engineer - API will be responsible for building credit card APIs and the technical details of building highly available and reliable services. Essential responsibilities include: design APIs and apply applicable patterns across several contexts/codebases; develop Rest APIs and test them with Postman; handle Jenkins and deploy them with parameters; support IT systems/applications currently being used by the end users; develop web services using REST; implement Microservices based on Restful API utilizing Spring Boot; Back-end development and design; design and develop high-performance CPD processes; improve application performance using Async TaskExecutor and concurrent utilities; use systematic debugging to diagnose cross service issues; create code reviews that contain descriptions of changes and testing conducted; assess other code reviews with the lens of quality and value - code quality, acceptance criteria, business logic, and test coverage; highlights any issues with a code review that might result in release complications; reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for continuous integration and incremental delivery; creates project proposals and designs that have considerable impact or touch multiple systems. Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science plus 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 1 year of experience with: application development within the full software development lifecycle (SDLC); Agile; Java; Java Server Pages; Eclipse; SQL; PL-SQL; and Hibernate. Must possess 6 months of experience with: Front-End Development; Tomcat; Ajax for JSF; Spring Boot; Jenkins; Rest; and HTML. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $94,307.00 - $127,000.
