Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy, and driven Software Engineer with a strong data focus and hands-on development skills to work on critical projects related to billing usage reconciliation and reporting. You will join a talented team of engineers working with cutting-edge technology to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes across multiple cloud platforms. What you’ll do:
Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze billing usage data from various sources in GCP and AWS.
Query and compare billing transaction counts between GCP and AWS to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using reporting tools like Looker to provide insights into billing data.
Proactively identify and suggest automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in billing processes.
Develop and implement automated solutions using Python to streamline billing reconciliation and reporting tasks.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to understand their reporting needs and ensure accurate and timely delivery of information.
Apply modern software development practices (e.g., CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code) to ensure efficient and reliable reporting processes.
Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to improve billing data management and reporting systems.
Triage and resolve issues related to billing data and reporting systems.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint planning and retrospectives.
What experience you need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with BigQuery.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools like Looker.
Proficiency in Python and experience with scripting for data analysis and automation.
Experience working with GCP services (e.g., Cloud Storage, BigQuery).
Experience working with AWS services, including S3 and RDS.
Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
