Our Part manufacturing business is developing the next generation of Machining solutions. As a part of executing this vision, we are building automated toolpath generation systems that help our customers intuitively machine parts.

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven developer to help support our tool path generation team, working in a lean-agile environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, modify and maintain the NX CAM SoftwareConduct research, design, prototype, and other exploration activities, as necessaryCreate and test the constituents of the featuresValidate/ensure the quality of the software through unit and system level testsCollaborate with and support the Product Owner to create and refine user stories and acceptance testsEstimate the size and complexity of workUse paired programming and other practices for frequent reviewBuild Quality into all work/activitiesContinuously communicate to align expectations and to support a transparent and safe environmentWhen coding, design and implementation best practices should be used to build high-quality components and solutionsSelf-organizing to benefit from the expertise within the team, whilst sharing/spreading that knowledge for the future benefit of the teamOwn, with the rest of the team, how the work gets doneRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Masters or higher degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science2 or more years of experience in programming in an object-oriented language (preferably C++) using advanced design principles and patternsKnowledge and understanding of Object-Oriented design techniques2 or more years of experience or course work developing 3D geometrical algorithms or robust mathematical solutions & architectureFamiliar with Windows development environmentsStrong written and oral communication skills in EnglishNo travel required

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Exposure to CAM programming software as a developer or an end-userExperience working in an Agile/Lean development environmentExperience with parallel computing (GPU programming) and multi-threadingExperience in developing and implementing algorithms for fixed or multi-axis machine control solutions

The salary range for this position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
