U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - Hogan (multiple positions) in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer - Hogan will be responsible for performing a variety of actions that evaluate and improve business processes and applications.  Essential responsibilities include: utilizing Hogan Programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods and design; provide new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications; gather business requirement and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts; inspect business specifications, programing specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plan for accuracy; establish detailed Technical Analysis Document (TAD) with pseudo code and flow chart with impacted Hogan/Non-Hogan components; based on the design, performing several iterations of code changes and compilation, application build and unit testing; design and develop Hogan and Non-Hogan components; execute test plan to validate application functions as design; coordinate and integrate with other Hogan Application teams/Hogan umbrella for cross application implementation; ss per Hogan specifications construct and modify Hogan components, such as Hogan Map (CICS screen), Hogan PCDs, Hogan PEM activities to support developing or modifying Hogan Application COBOL programs; develop applications by utilizing COBOL, JCL, Hogan Umbrella components, VSAM, IMS, Easytrieve, File manager, etc.; source code version control using Endevor tool; debug COBOL programs using Expeditor during development phase; execute the create test plans to test created modules and validate the functionalities are as per the requirements; schedule new jobs or modifications of existing job schedule in CA-7 as per the requirements; migrate the component to higher environments IT and QA for further testing and fix the program if any bug is detected; after thorough testing, migrate the components to Production environment; prepare details implantation plan and get approval from governance team; create change request in service now according to the requirements to install respective components or running data remediation; research and fix Problem tickets and incident within the desired SLA to ensure business as usual; participate in various Agile ceremonies to achieve SDLC process to maintain and enhance the business needs; on rotation basis, monitor Hogan CIS and PKG application in IT and UAT and ensure the application is available without any issues. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with all of the following: mainframe application development, including: design, testing, development, and maintenance; application modernization, consolidation, data replication, and remediation; Java-based data replication and integration testing; data extraction and transformation as part of system/data migration; analyzing production issues and providing prompt resolutions and remediation; COBOL; JCL; DB2 Stored Procedure; IMS-DC; DB2; CI/CD Pipeline; JIRA/CA Rally (Agile); and Service Now.  Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $97,811.00 - $155,000.00. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
