The Software Engineer plays an integral role within an Agile Scrum team, working collaboratively with Product Owners, Developers, Automation Developers and other Testers to complete development work in sprints.  The incumbent must utilize software test engineering concepts to include test planning, design, analysis, execution, and automation of manual test cases.

The individual must be innovative, self-motivated, quick learner and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities.  This person must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, communicate effectively with team members, and be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities) 

\n\nDesign and Develop software for Point of Sale – core and feature enhancement.\nPort legacy code/applications and modules to new platform\nVerify and validate platform against legacy performance and full operating conditions.\nConducting code reviews.\nDeliver quality applications as per company standards.\nWork as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle \nBe a quick learner of the internal framework. \n\nBachelor’s degree in CS/ME/EE and minimum of 1 - 5 years technical experience, or equivalent\nExperience working as part of an agile development team (Scrum, TDD, XP) doing in-sprint test design, execution and some automation\nExperience working closely with product owners or BAs writing user story acceptance criteria\nExperience using Jira\nExpert in C#.Net, Expert in C++\nExperience in POS solution Development.\nSolid grasp and fluent in common design patterns\nKnowledge of SQL databases\nKnowledge of HTML5 - CSS, Java\nExperience in Jira, Agile and Scrum.\nExperience in VB.net, VB is plus\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written \nExperience reporting test metrics and status\nExperience creating XML or JSON messages with business data for testing purposes\nTest automation or scripting is a plus\nCI/CD experience a plus\nOther preferred courses/ certifications: SCM, PSM, Agile training, PCI, PA-DSS, SISA\nExperience with Linux OS environment a plus\n\n

The base compensation range for this position is $74,000 to $106,100 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
