Cox Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Online Vehicle Exchange engineering team.Our Teams:

OVE is a 24/7 online source for vehicles from Manheim, independent auctions, commercial and dealer inventory, and more where dealers can search, bid/buy and make an offer.on wholesale inventory. Our applications are written in .Ruby/Rails and AWS.  We use New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty to monitor and alert on our platform.
We own and are responsible for our applications from design, development, testing, deployment, and support.  Our infrastructure is a built using the latest AWS technologies.  We are an Agile team and our engineering organization supports addressing technical debt. In addition to working with Product to prioritize important business initiatives.  If you want to work on highly performant software running at scale in the cloud, with the ability to both learn new technologies and have an impact on our ability to succeed as a team, organization, and company, this job is for you.Technologies we use:Ruby on Rails, AWS, TypeScriptNewRelic, SplunkDocker, GithubActions, CDK, Terraform, AnsibleMySQL DBYour Role:Design, build, and support solutions for our cloud-native OVE applicationProvide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed productsEngage with your agile delivery team to build a culture of passion, trust, and creativityRequired Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, (preferably Computer Science). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field.Understanding and experience with object oriented coding.Knowledge of how to design and optimize access of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Familiarity with cloud native software which runs on and integrates in the Cloud with a preference for AWS technologiesUse of distributed version control software such as Git.Experience working in an Agile team environment preferred.
