Software Engineer II, iOS - Women's Safety
## **About the role:** At Uber, we're committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all riders, especially women. That's why we're looking for passionate and talented software engineers to join our team and help us build innovative solutions to improve women's safety on our platform. As a Women's Safety team engineer, you will work with Uber's core business marketplace technology. Safety is paramount for Uber, especially for women, so you'll use real-time telematics and motion sensing technologies along with multi-faceted machine learning algorithms and user-facing mobile products to reduce and prevent unsafe driving and behavior on the Uber platform. Joining the team, you will collaborate with the other team members to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for mobile applications (iOS). **What You'll Do:** - Design solutions - Coding in Swift - Collaborate with code review, design review, etc - Work collaboratively with other engineers and cross functional stakeholders, like Product Managers. **Minimum qualifications:** - PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and/or +3 years full-time Software Engineering work experience. ## **Technical skills:** - Product engineering - Scalability engineering - Distributed systems - Able to communicate in english (advanced level) We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
