Azure Linux is Microsoft’s first party open-source Linux Operating System (OS), used extensively in production for a multitude of Azure services and Microsoft products – including a growing number of bare metal scenarios. You will be part of the team focused on expanding our ability to build and scale bare metal deployments, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in improving every aspect of the Operating System (OS) – from firmware & security, to networking, storage, and virtualization stacks. The team is responsible for delivering solutions across all Azure Linux bare metal customers, including LinkedIn and Nexus.

To deliver on our vision, we are looking for a talented Software Engineer II with a passion for Linux Operating Systems (OS) development and working with hardware. Someone who is ready to learn and dive deep into new technical areas - who is sparked by curiosity, wanting to not just understand how systems work, but strive towards improving the system through increased performance, security hardening, reliability, and maintainability.
