Software Engineer II
Azure Communication Services (ACS) are cloud-based services with REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and client library software development kits (SDKs) available to help you integrate communication into your applications. You can add communication to your applications without being an expert in underlying technologies such as media encoding or telephony. Telco Messaging Group is a part of ACS, and our responsibilities are to process any type of message moving through a telecommunication network, like, for example, SMS or MMS. Building and running services at scale for hundreds of millions of consumer and enterprise users is very challenging, but it is a lot of fun and rewarding. We are looking to hire a passionate Software Engineer II to help us do just that, to power and deliver on ACS mission. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Design, implement and test new features in existing services and new services. + Drive product vision and suggest innovative features and approaches. + Collaborate with other teams . + Monitor live services and perform service operations in Production . + Follow and improve code quality, performance, testability and documentation requirements. + Participate in estimation and planning of development tasks. + Debug and fix issues. **Other** + Embody our culture and values . **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. **Other Requirements:** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + **Microsoft Cloud Background Chec** k: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Solid problem-solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills.​​ + Good analytical skills and logical thinking.​​ + Ability to communicate technical details clearly​​. + Proactiveness, high motivation, customer focus and drive for result skills.​​ + Innovative, out of the box thinking, growth mindset.​​ + Desire to learn and grow.​​ + Deep understanding of software development principles. ​ + Ability to write clean, maintainable and tested code.​​ Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
