These include code signing, anti-malware scanning, and the Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure (MSPKI). We face distinctive engineering challenges related to scale—processing billions of files monthly—varied workloads ranging from drivers to 4k AAA games, security both physical and logical, and compliance with standards like WebTrust. You will design, build, and operate fabric services critical to secure datacenters and high-security Azure environments, including compute provisioning, Service Fabric, service gateways, secure imaging, health agents, compliance, monitoring, and more. Other: + Embody our culture and values **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience + 2+ years of professional experience in core software engineering building large-scale distributed systems Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: + Skilled in managing Windows Server and platform services like PKI, Active Directory, DNS, and Imaging + Threat modeling and/or risk assessment experience + Experience developing and operating cloud services is plus + Experience with Infrastructure as Code and/or working in a DevOps team + Micro services development, deployment, and monitoring. + Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP + PKI, Cryptography or Certificate Management experience + Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and network architecture + Excellent analytical skills with a systematic and structured approach to software design. + Collaborative communication and problem-solving skills. + Passion for quality and security with strong customer empathy. + Experience running services in high security environments. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
