We are seeking a talented and experienced **Software Engineer II** to join our team. As a Software Engineer II in Bing Places Data Infrastructure Team, you will work on design, develop and maintain scalable big data processing pipelines with Cloud and AI technologies, as well as related applications and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that drive our data strategy and support our business objectives. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for big data processing using Cloud technologies. + Implement AI and machine learning infrastructure to enhance data processing capabilities and support partner scientist teams. + Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. + Optimize data workflows for performance, agility, scalability, and reliability. + Ensure data & infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards and best practices. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. + Experience in big data processing and Cloud services. **Other Requirements:** Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Additional or Preferred Qualifications:** + Ability and effectiveness of working end-to-end in a challenging technical problem domain. + Customer/Metrics driven in design and development. + Results oriented, high integrity, ability to work collaboratively. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
