As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for the design, development, and testing of software solutions for aerospace applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement high-quality code. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the aerospace industry.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location.

In this role, you will impact the development of software solutions that enable safer and more efficient air travel. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our software systems. Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Sensors Guidance & Navigation (SG&N) Center of Excellence (CoE). You will be an active and integral member of a team to achieve the completion of goals.

Key Responsibilities

\n\nUnder minimum supervision of an experienced software engineer, you must apply software engineering and analytical skills while following the organization’s software processes.\nYou will be responsible for managing requirements, design, code, test, and integrate real-time embedded software for Inertial Navigation Systems with an embedded Global Positioning System receiver and/or other SG&N product lines such as atmospheric sensing systems.\nYou will analyze and resolve software discrepancies\nYou will be a member of a cross-functional development team where communication and teaming skills are highly valued.\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\n2+ years of software development experience with C/C++ and/or ADA programming languages\nAbility to speak, read and write English\n\n
