**Your job** The CI Platform team helps the thousands of people building software at Indeed in their mission to help people get jobs. We own Indeed’s source control system, artifact storage service, continuous integration platforms, and shared build code. These tools work together to enable us to run over 150,000 pipelines every week. These pipelines are not only responsible for building and deploying the application code but also for running tests and quality checks, helping engineers experiment and driving innovation at Indeed. They also enable engineers to maintain the quality and security of our software for job seekers around the world. We work with almost every R&D team across Indeed to support their mission and foster contributions from across the organization. This gives us plentiful opportunities to impact highly visible projects across the company. We support our users and constantly seek direct feedback in addition to building advanced metrics to understand how well our systems are functioning, measure the impact of our work, and make the best judgments. Our systems are very large in scale and high-performing. You will work in a team of extremely talented software engineers who are passionate about the craft of software engineering itself. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the software development lifecycle and internal development tools at Indeed as well as improve the productivity of thousands of engineers. **Who you are** + Design, build, and maintain large-scale, performant, and robust systems that deliver a top-tier development platform to run our software as well as all products in the company + Architect and validate new solutions and influence product priorities + Participate in writing and reviewing code and design reviews as well as mentorship within the team and across Engineering Platforms to maintain high standards + Participate in a designated first responder rotation during business hours, supporting our customers and improving our processes to reduce support burden + Off-hour emergency responder rotation (~once a month) with supplemental pay (page frequency < 1 per quarter) + Make data-driven recommendations utilizing our metrics as well as customer feedback + Collaborate daily with colleagues from many job functions: software engineers, product managers, and site reliability engineers **Who we are** + Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields + 3+ years of software engineering experience + Great communication and collaboration skills + A willingness to learn and take on new challenges + A passion for tools that enable builders to build fantastic things + Experience in DevOps and/or Infrastructure as Code (Bash, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, ArgoCD) + Experience programming in Python, Java, Javascript, or a similar programming language + Experience working on large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems **Our mission** As the world’s number 1 job site*, our mission is to help people get jobs.
