As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Equities Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities

 

Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams Continuously improve software development processes and tools to ensure efficient and effective software development Collaborate with the software development team and stakeholders to identify and prioritize software needs Manage data infrastructure, including data warehouse and ETL processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and security Define and implement best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, data modeling Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely resolutions Stay current with industry trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend innovations to improve our data capabilities Provide technical mentorship to team members helping them grow their skills and advance their careers Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect

 

 Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, Python, ReactJS and/or other programming languages used in Data Engineering Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Operational stakeholders Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
