Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Contribute to catalog services by working with Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Google Cloud Dataflow. Design and implement solid backend services for the Catalog Elixir with Node.js and Catalog Control Tower. Utilize GoLang to consume omni data streams coming through the Kafka pipeline. Improve the robustness and reliability of the cloud infrastructure by deploying Envoy Adaptive Concurrency Services through Docker Image and Kubernetes Clusters. Add corresponding Grafana Dashboard Metrics to monitor the services and the load of server nodes. Support eCommerce data ingestion and utilize large-scale NoSQL database (Cassandra) to serve bulk data. Develop the Bring-Your-Own-Query (BYOQ) data processing pipeline using Google Cloud Dataflow and integrate with Google BigQuery for enhanced data control and analytics. Initialize brand new REST catalog Elixir All Clubs service in Go and perform load tests. Deliver intact eCommerce services and add Unit Tests to perform first pass Quality Assurance.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages including Python, Java, Go, and Node.js. Experience building REST API Web Services in JavaScript, Java, and Go. Experience manipulating SQL based relational databases or NoSQL databases. Experience manipulating cloud services including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Experience creating unit tests and integration tests for software applications. Experience building software application services and achieving increased scalability, extensibility, and developer productivity. Experience with software testing and quality assurance. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
