Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Work in an agile scrum environment with involvement in requirements definition through specification, design, coding, quality assurance, implementation, integration, launch, and production support for applications. Analyze business objectives, classification of requirements, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, scoping and estimation for new applications. Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Design and develop web applications, infrastructure design, database design, data modeling, and backend frameworks. Create and configure components and applications while ensuring that technical requirements, high-availability, and high-scalability requirements are met. Build applications using technologies like Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Oracle, Cassandra, GCP, and Azure. Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by the service delivery team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies. Develop test cases to detect errors and defects for components, monitor applications, and troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. Ensure that the security policy requirements are properly applied to components and applications during code development.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area. 

Skills required: Experience programming in an object-oriented programming language. Experience with core Java concepts including Generics, Multi-Threading, Collections, Exception Handling, Garbage Collection, and File Input/Output. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services. Experience with Test Driven Development. Experience using RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies. Experience with Cloud computing environments. Experience with design patterns and defining framework abstraction. Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools. Experience implementing messaging architecture. Experience with software development design documentation. Experience creating clean and secure code using best practices, SonarQube, and SonarLint. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
