About the role

As a Software Developer, you will perform moderately difficult design and software development assignments within the Legislation and Statutes team. You will explore our passion for innovation and discovery. On this software product line, we develop the legal profession’s innovative products for legislation and statutes. We work on large-scale data engineering, uncovering insights about legislation and statutes, enabling lawyers to make data-driven decisions, and more. We analyze the impact of new legislation and court rules on existing law.

Responsibilities:


• Designing and scaling next-gen data systems by building robust and efficient data infrastructure that processes unstructured content in real-time, enabling seamless data flow.

• Harnessing the power of AWS by leveraging cloud technologies to optimize system performance and drive innovation.

• Innovating with Generative AI by integrating cutting-edge tools and enhancing systems with our LLM model to push the boundaries of data processing and user experience.

• Developing dynamic data pipelines to create and maintain scalable systems capable of handling high volumes of information effortlessly.

• Create transformative applications by developing Java-based solutions and APIs that enable editorial teams to ingest, transform, and refine data, fueling advanced analytics and enhanced content search capabilities.

Requirements:

• Have BSC degree in computer science or equivalent.

• Have at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Be proficient with data manipulation languages like SQL.

• Have proficiency in development languages including Java/J2EE, JSP, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX.

• Be familiar with software design patterns.

• Have experience with algorithms, data structures, and regular expressions.

• Be familiar with industry best practices such as code coverage.

• Be able to write and review detailed specifications for developing system components of moderate complexity.
