Software Engineer III

What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements. Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability. Assess the practicality of software operations by examining the problem definition, requirements, solution creation, and suggested software engineering approaches. Develop robust, maintainable, reusable code for managing functionality, configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security, and alerting for software test, integration, and production environments. Keep abreast of emerging software technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) to assess their potential for addressing future business requirements. Contribute to code development, conduct unit testing, and regularly communicate project status and challenges to team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Develop CI/CD pipelines, automate software deployment processes in Looper and OneOps platforms.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience with software design, design patterns, and architectures. Experience with software development tools including Git, Jira, Tableau, and PowerBI. Experience with software development practices. Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages including Java and Python. Experience with machine learning and natural language processing algorithms. Experience with data modeling, analysis, querying, and designing database schemas. Experience developing and implementing REST API web services. Experience with Google Cloud Platform to build scalable and reliable solutions and pipelines. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
