What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design, develop, and operate highly-scalable backend services with object-oriented programming languages like Python and Java. Develop and deploy web applications as Microservices using Spring Boot and Django. Implement Restful APIs to ensure efficient communication and data exchange between different components. Work with relational and NoSQL databases. Create and maintain table with object relational Mapping (ORM) tools or Database Management Systems like PostgreSQL. Create comprehensive test cases utilizing testing tools like JUnit, PowerMock and Mockito. Ensure test coverage and code quality with SonarQube scan. Conduct performance testing with locust framework. Streamline development processes by automating repetitive tasks through scripts for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with Jenkins. Create and monitor centralized dashboards in Splunk. Perform instance scaling with Docker and Kubernetes. Design and develop Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) based cloud data pipelines with Apache Airflow or Apache Beam. Deploy pipelines and perform auditing with Google Cloud platform. Ensure efficient data processing and storage.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages including Python, Java, and React.  Experience developing and deploying web applications using Spring Boot or Django framework. Experience with database integration and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools. Experience designing and implementing REST APIs as Microservices. Experience designing and testing NoSQL Databases including Cassandra and Google Cloud Datastore. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management Systems including PostgreSQL and JDBC. Experience performing table creation and maintenance.  Experience implementing telemetry features to monitor and analyze software performance and user behavior. Experience extracting features and building customized dash boards using Splunk and Google Cloud Monitoring. Experience designing, implementing, and deploying cloud data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow and BigQuery. Experience designing and implementing Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) workflow using Apache Airflow and Apache Beam. Experience automating repetitive tasks using scripts for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Experience implementing auto-increment version and conducted version control via GitHub. Experience building, testing, and uploading an automated pipeline with Jenkins. Experience defining test objectives and creating test cases for component/modules. Experience employing the testing tools including JUnit, Codeium, PowerMock, and Mockito. Experience ensuring test coverage and code quality with SonarQube analysis. Experience optimizing API performance and read/write counts for smooth transactions. Experience conducting performance testing using locust. Experience monitoring data pipeline metrics and performing proper scaling using Docker and Kubernetes. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
