Description We are in the search for a Software Engineer III who will be an integral part of our Database Development team located in New York, New York, 10016, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Software Engineer III, you will be tasked with the development and maintenance of resilient APIs and microservices using C# and .NET Core, working within the Google Cloud Platform, and optimizing SQL queries and data processing patterns.
Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using C# and .NET Core, adhering to Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and SOLID principles.
• Operate extensively within the Google Cloud Platform, utilizing services such as BigQuery, CloudSql (Postgres), Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, GCS, and Apigee.
• Improve SQL queries and data handling practices.
• Address and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system reliability and high performance.
• Provide mentorship and technical expertise to team members, fostering skill development.
• Uphold engineering excellence through code reviews, maintaining coding standards, and implementing best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends, advocating for their adoption where they add value. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of detail oriented experience in the field of Database Development
• Proficiency in .NET framework development
• Extensive experience with C Sharp Programming (C#)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Google Cloud Pub/Sub
• Comprehensive knowledge of PostgreSQL database system
• Proven ability to write and optimize SQL Queries
• Understanding of SQL and its various applications
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization strategies
