DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join a team developing the full stack embedded architecture for new product development.
How you will make an impact as a Software Engineer in Test:Ensure the highest level of software performance, reliability and qualityHelp evolve DEKA’s software processes as we grow the productSolve technical challenges while upholding high performance standardsTo be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline5+ years of combined automation testing and development experience, including development of embedded machine control applications using C++ in a Linux environment.2+ years, hands on experience with Linux Real-time Patched Kernel.Hands on experience with orchestration, continuous integration, continuous deployment and operation of manufacturing controls platforms and tools.Hands on experience in testing methodologies, and commitment to quality in continuous operationsExposure to and understanding of security standards and security designProficient in writing detailed design specifications, diagrams, documentation, operating procedures, and test plans/test reportsExcellent communications skills, capable of working with cross-functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management, in a professional manner.Strong distributed system networking and debugging skillsDistributed messaging systems exposure: Linux Sockets (ZMQ), MQTT, and REST APIDevOps Tools Exposure: Ansible, Artifactory and GitLabSecurity Test Tools Exposure: OpenScap, CVE Scan and etcPreferred Qualifications:Docker deployment and operational experienceC++ development/ deployment experience including cmakePython development/ deployment experienceGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 21 CFR Part 11, and GAMP5 regulatory standards exposure
