The Red Hat Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our Red Hat Network team in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on key networking components supporting needs, you will develop and execute test automation against Red Hat's product offerings within our extensive portfolio. To do so successfully, you will learn to be an expert in various networking fields, and you will know many customer usage scenarios.
What you will do:
Learn Red Hat's networking technologies, tools, and stackReproduce and verify bugs, add test coverage accordingly, areas may involve NIC Drivers, VLAN, IPv6, tunnel, etc.Run regression tests and review results, provide accurate testing status reportsWork with developers to review test gapsWhat you will bring:
Experience with software test planning, test cases design, test script automation, and documentationKnowledge in networking like VLAN, IPv6, route, NIC driver, etcExperience with programming languages like Python or bash or CSolid understanding of and direct experience with Linux environmentDebugging, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skillsGood communication skillsThe following are considered a plus:
Knowledge and experience in 5G Telco and openshiftKnowledge of operating systems, hardware, and kernel conceptsExperience with container or virtualization technologiesDegree in computer science or similar fieldFamiliarity with open source technology#LI-OA1
