What we’re looking forAs someone who’s opted for a placement within their degree course, you will be looking to start your career as a Software Engineer within 3D CAD software. Your degree must contain a high level of technical content preferably within engineering or computer science. This role is paid, available for one year, and offers a fantastic opportunity to work on world-class, complex software projects in an exciting and varied enterprise environment for industry-leading customers.
What you’ll be doingWorking alongside experienced software engineers in a small, international, agile development team on the next generation of Composites design softwareCreating new solutions to provide efficient and innovative solutions to allow efficient management of the entire Composites design processDeeping your knowledge software development in a commercial environmentContributing to the NX and NX Composites development environment to support the long-term life of our productsAcquiring a broad understanding of our products and their applicationWhat you’ll bringDegree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related fieldExperience of C++ is preferred, or similar object-orientated software developmentAn inquisitive and methodical approach with good attention to detailStrong analysis, design and problem-solving abilityPassion for continuous learningStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of software engineering principlesA passion for creating high-quality softwareAn ability to understand and communicate complex technical problemsA knowledge of any of the following would be desirable:
