Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer Intern with a dedication to supporting a U.S. Government customer focused on incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Candidate will perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and passionate about critical customer missions.
This is a hybrid role. No relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT, to implement solutions.Contribute to data visualization and storytelling to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.Ensure technical correctness, timeliness and quality of deliverables.Work alongside other members of the software team to analyze and develop software verification test cases and procedures.Define and implement automated verification scripts.Participate in Requirement/Design and Code reviews.Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.GPA of 3.0+ in a 4.0 grade scale.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide input to presentations to non-technical participants.Security Clearance: Although a clearance is not required at the time of application, the candidate must be willing to be submitted for a clearance and is expected to successfully obtain and maintain one. U.S. Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for model training and deploymentExperience with 1 or more programming and scripting languages (e.g Shell, Python, PERL, Java, C/C++/C#, etc.) or ability to learn.Experience with 1 or more of the following SQL (e.g. MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Hbase, DynamoDB, etc.) or ability to learn.Experience with 1 or more DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Splunk, etc or ability to learn.#NWIntern2025
