Software Engineer IV - Secret Clearance

Responsibilities What You'll Do: + V2X has been at the forefront of electromagnetic spectrum engineering and digital systems integration for clients for more than 30 years. We partner with our clients to solve some of their toughest operational challenges through the implementation of advanced technological solutions. Leveraging emerging technologies and adhering to a system engineering discipline, our engineers design, develop and integrate disparate data sources and devices to deliver converged environment solutions. As a digital transformation leader, V2X provides smart (AI/ML enabled), cyber-secure (Zero Trust Architectures), and environmentally friendly (Energy efficient) solutions that broaden and enhance our clients’ ecosystems. Candidates with technical leadership and/or program management career goals are strongly encouraged to apply. + This position allows approximately 80-90% telework, subject to client requirements. The candidate must be on-site at our Dahlgren, VA facility approximately 10-20% of the time for classified meetings and software development; as a result, candidates must be in commuting distance of Dahlgren. Key Responsibilities: + Design and develop quality software based on requirements. (20%) + Collaborate within an agile software development process with software engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders. (15%) + Develop and maintain automated unit tests and manual functionality tests. (15%) + Serve as a technical resource or subject matter expert when needed to support the customer and future proposal efforts. (10%) + Peer review the work of other software engineers and provide constructive feedback. (10%) + Participate in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups. (10%) + Mentor junior software engineers. (10%) + Contribute to the improvement of processes and practices. (5%) + Prepare reports on all aspects related to software development. (5%) Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + Education: + + Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field + Experience: + + 10+ years of experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing software components using C# and modern web technologies. + 10+ years of experience with current and emerging software development methodologies, processes, and life-cycle models, (e.g. CMMI and Scrum). + 10+ years of experience with a source control tool such as git + 10+ years of experience with a software lifecycle management tool such as Azure DevOps + 10+ years of experience writing unit tests and performing code reviews + 10+ years of ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues + 5+ years of experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing software components in containerized environments + 5+ years of experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing software components using Java. + Certificate + + Security + (or equivalent for govt IAT Lvl II requirements) + Scrum Master certification (optional) + Relevant software or Operating certification + Skills: + + Agile/Scrum software development practices + Experience in ANY (not all, any) of the following is desired: + Agile Scrum Master/Product Owner + Azure DevOps + PostgreSQL or SQL and Database Operations + Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Operating Systems + Object-oriented languages and web development technologies + C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Material Design, SQL (especially PostGreSQL), Entity + Framework, SignalR/Websockets + Docker and containerized web services + Visual Studio + Other Requirement: + + + Requires eligibility to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance. An active clearance is preferred but not required.
